SWU Music & Arts Festival (short for Starts With You) was a music festival in São Paulo's countryside, in Itu, created by advertiser Eduardo Fischer. It featured artists from many different genres in its two editions in 2010 and 2011.
Since June 2009, there were rumors about a possible Woodstock edition in New York to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the original festival, organized by co-founder Michael Lang. However, in August, the idea was dropped and the festival was canceled.
In early 2010, rumors began about a "Woodstock Brazil," speculating on the bands and location. In July, it was confirmed that a festival would happen, but it was named the SWU Festival and had no connection to Woodstock. Over the following months, the lineup of performers was announced.
Over the two editions of the festival, heavy-weight bands performed on the stages of the event, like Avenged Sevenfold, Rage Against The Machine and others.
