P!nk Biography

Born in the small city of Doylestown Township, in the USA, Alecia Beth Moore, also known as Pink, or P!nk, is a pop star and actress, known everywhere in the world for creating a very unique style of "rock music influenced" pop. Pink started her career in a girl group called Choice, at that time she was only 15. After deciding to pursue her solo career, the soon-to-be pop star released her debut album "Can't Take Me Home," which earned double platinum certification in the U.S.

During high school, she joined her first band, Middleground, that was the moment when she started her interest in music. Pink started just like many of the pop artists who had zero connections in the music industry, performing in small clubs.

After Choice disbanded, Pink began working on her solo debut album. Her first solo single, "There You Go," released in 2000, became a top-ten hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Pink's album, "Can't Take Me Home," released in April of that same year, sold over four million copies worldwide. She also won Female New Artist of the Year at the 2000 Billboard Music Awards and supported the famous boy band NSYNC's No Strings Attached Tour in North America.

In mid-2003, Pink contributed "Feel Good Time" to the Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle soundtrack, and it became her first single to miss the top 40 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart but was successful elsewhere. The song "Trouble" also earned Pink a Grammy for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance. During this period, she co-wrote songs for Mýa and Elvis Presley's daughter, Lisa Marie Presley.

Back in 2008, Pink's track "So What" exploded in popularity after it was leaked online. After releasing the album "Funhouse," she went on a big tour in Europe and Australia, performing for over 600k fans.

On this journey, rising to fame, Pink also sang a charity song and won a Grammy for singing with John Lennon. In 2010, she had a scary moment during a concert but luckily wasn't hurt.

Fast forward to 2012, The pop star started working on her new album, "The Truth About Love." At that time, Barack Obama was running for president, and Pink planned to perform at a fundraiser for Obama's presidential campaign, but had to cancel because she was hospitalized for surgery. Her album's first single, "Blow Me (One Last Kiss)," came out in July of that same year, and of course, did pretty well on the charts.

Till today, Pink is still seen as a pop legend who brought a whole new scenario to the pop music industry in the early 2000s. In 2023, Pink's ninth album went number one in the UK and Australia, and landed at number two in the U.S.
