Melek Mosso Concerts Setlist

Melek Davarcı, better known by his stage name Melek Mosso, is a Turkish jazz singer, songwriter, and music teacher. She was born on November 11, 1988 in Kayseri, Turkey. She composed her first musical piece at age 7. At age 9, she joined a conservatory. During her high school years, she learnt to play the flute. After graduating from high school, she got a degree from Adnan Menderes University, School of Education, Department of Music Teaching, where she also got abundant vocal training.

She then spent the next few years tutoring conservatory students and performing small Melek Mosso concert shows at the Kadıköy - Beşiktaş ferry route. In 2015, she and some of her musician friends founded the jazz and swing group called  “Zbam The Band”. In 2017, she uploaded a video to YouTube of herself covering the 1998 single by Yıldız Tilbe, “Vursalar Ölemem”. It went massively viral, amassing over 120 million views, as of the time of writing this. It also ended up being featured in the soundtrack of the Turkish thriller series “Çukur”. This success led to her releasing her self-titled debut EP (Extended Play), “Melek Mosso”, in February 2020. The publishing label was Sony Music Turkey. However, there is no word yet of a new Melek Mosso album coming out any time soon.

The Turkish jazz singer’s biggest hits to date are the aforementioned Tilbe cover, “Vursalar Ölemem” (2017), “Keklik Gibi” (2019), and “Hayatım Kaymış” (2021). She was also featured on the 2017 hit song by Turkish hip hop artist No. 1, “Hiç Işık Yok”. In May 2022, she was banned from performing a Melek Mosso concert show in Isparta by the city's officials. The reason was her support for the Istanbul Convention, an international human rights treaty against violence against women, as well as for wearing too revealing clothing on stage at her prior appearances.
