Justin Bieber is a Canadian singer and songwriter. He was born on March 1st, 1994 in Ontario, Canada. His first experience with music was taking 2nd place in a local singing competition in Stratford, Ontario at age 12. His mother uploaded the performance, which was a cover of the Ne-Yo song “So Sick”, to YouTube. Since it got quite some views, she kept posting videos of her son’s singing. The young Justin also gave the first versions of a Justin Bieber concerts on the street.
In 2007, music producer Scooter Braun discovered Bieber’s videos on YouTube by accident. At just age 13, Bieber traveled to the US with Braun to record songs in a professional studio. R&B superstar Usher also got involved in managing the young star’s career.
Bieber’s first single, “One Time”, was released in May 2009. It got into the top 20 on the famous Billboard Hot 100 list. His first full studio album, titled "My World 2.0", was released in March 2010. It was a huge success, debuting #1 on the charts, with such hits as “Baby” featuring Ludacris, or “Somebody to Love”. While his star in the music industry was undoubtedly rising, he also began to receive a massive amount of hate online. The music video for "Baby" was among the most disliked videos ever on YouTube for a long time.
However, evidently, that didn’t stop Bieber. Since then, he produced 5 other studio albums (thus he has 6 in total), the best selling of which was “Purpose” (2015). Meanwhile, the latest new Justin Bieber album came out in March 2021, with the title "Justice". On these 6 albums, he had such hit singles as “What Do You Mean?” (2015), “Love Yourself” (2015), and “Sorry” (2019). He was also featured on DJ Khaled’s 2017 hit song “I’m the One”.
Bieber is now married to his wife Hailey, a fashion model, but continues to be very popular among teenage girls. His impact on the industry is unquestionable. With the release of "My World" 2.0 in 2010, he became youngest solo male artist to debut an album #1 in 47 years. His social media accounts are still among the most subscribed/followed ones across multiple sites, such as his YouTube channel with 70 million subscribers, or his Instagram page with 253 million followers (as of the time of writing this).
