Held in Ituberá, Brazil, Universo Paralello is a trance and techno music festival famous all over the world. Drawing in crowds to revel in an alternate realm of dance and celebration, the experience is proud to be independent of significant corporate backing, demonstrating remarkable sustainability. Boasting international allure, striking stage setups, and employing numerous individuals to craft its elaborate structures for each installment, standing as a testament to creativity and community spirit.
Just like the event Burning Man, Universo Paralello aims to provide attendees with an escape from the matrix. Offering a reprieve from reality, it invites participants to detach from their daily routines and plunge into a hedonistic atmosphere brimming with music, amusement, and boundless enjoyment.
Past editions had heavy-weight EDM DJs like Morten Granau and Zyce on the main stage. But don't even for a second think that this is an event that only brings mainstream artists. Emerging acts like Basscannon and Alien Art can be found at the event as well. Throughout the years, Brazilian artists like Caetano Veloso, and Os Mutantes also performed on the gig's main stage, named Palco Paralello.
A fun fact that you might not know is that Universo Paralello was created by Juarez Swarup Petrillo, who is the world-class house DJ Alok's father. The Israeli version was licensed to a local producer, and the Brazilian DJ was only invited to perform at the event but was not involved in its organization.
