Held in Ascona, Switzerland, Ascona Jazz Festival, also known as Jazz Ascona, is an annual event celebrating traditional jazz styles, especially New Orleans jazz. Directed by Nicolas Gilliet, the 10-day festival spans late June to early July on Lake Maggiore's Swiss shores. It boasts over 200 concerts featuring 300 musicians, alongside gospel choirs, jam sessions, exhibits, conferences, and film screenings.
Over the festival editions, heavy-weight artists and groups, such as Leroy Jones, Vanessa Collier, and others, performed on the stages.
