Atif Aslam Biography

Born in Wazirabad, Pakistan, Atif Aslam is a composer, actor and singer. Atif began his music career in the early 2000s with his debut album "Jal Pari." He entered Bollywood in 2005 and has since performed in both Bollywood and Lollywood. He also received the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz from Pakistan and several Lux Style Awards. He made his acting debut in 2011 and was honored with a star on the Dubai Walk of Fame in 2019. He was also featured in Forbes Asia's 100 Digital Stars in 2020.

Atif was initially part of the group Jal. After leaving Jal, he released his debut solo album "Jal Pari." Later, his second album, "Doorie," came out in 2006, and his third album, "Meri Kahani," in 2008, was nominated for Best Album at the Lux Style Awards.

In 2011, he performed "Le Ja Tu Mujhe" for "F.A.L.T.U" and recorded "Hona Tha Pyar" and "Kaho Aaj Bol Do" with Hadiqa Kiani for the film "Bol," where he also had a lead role. He recorded "Tu Muhabbat Hai" and "Piya O Re Piya" for "Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya."
In 2012, he sang for "The Reluctant Fundamentalist," appeared on Coke Studio’s Season Five, and became the first Pakistani to perform at London’s O2 Arena. Atif also had concerts in cities like Dubai and Bangkok.

In 2016, Atif collaborated with Arko Pravo on "Tere Sang Yaara" from "Rustom."
He also worked with Mithoon on multiple versions of "Mar Jaayen" for "Loveshhuda" and sang "Dil Dancer" for "Actor in Law," winning a LUX Award. Aslam performed "Yaariyaan" with Ali Zafar for Defence Day and worked with Maher Zain on "I'm Alive," as well as "Jal Pari" for a Huawei Honor 5X ad.

With a very successful career, Atif Aslam also has a very successful personal life. Atif married Sara Bharwana, an educationist, in Lahore in 2013. They have three children: two sons and a daughter.
