Formed in 2003 in Ocala, United States, A Day to Remember, also known as ADTR, is a metalcore/pop-punk band that debuted with "And Their Name Was Treason" in 2005. Their commercial success came with the album "Homesick" in 2009, which quickly led them to a global tour after their official debut. The band was formed by the members Jeremy McKinnon, Neil Westfall, Tom Denney, Joshua Woodard, and Bobby Scruggs. They started by performing on small gigs and quickly signed to a record label in 2005. Their debut album sold over 10k copies which helped the band gain traction to keep going on their beginning.
The band started to get popular after touring in the UK and performing at major alternative rock and metal gigs like Vans Warped Tour. A Day to Remember released a remastered "Old Record" in 2008 and recorded "Homesick", which came out in 2009, reaching high on the Billboard charts and selling over 200k copies. Despite some legal problems, they continued touring and supported the band Rise Against. Around that same time, they released the song "All I Want", which as of 2024, has over 191 million streams on Spotify.
Despite a few delays, in 2012, A Day to Remember released "Violence (Enough Is Enough)". The band toured extensively after that, during 2013 and 2014 ADTR participated in the House Party tour and Parks & Devastation tour. In 2016, they released "Bad Vibrations", and supported Blink-182 on tour.
ADTR's seventh album came out in 2021, "You're Welcome", was a major success as well and led to collaborations like the song "Rescue Me", with the EDM DJ and producer Marshmello. In 2022, the band released "Miracle", and two years later, in 2024, released "Feedback".
