In 2020, CHILIFEST was the recipient of the American Music Festival Award at the distinguished International Live Music Conference.

Every year, CHILIFEST hosts a jousting tournament in which teams from around the country compete for a $10,000 grand prize.

At its peak in 2018, more than 50,000 people attended CHILIFEST.

In 2019, camping packages were introduced allowing attendees to spend up to three days at the event.
