Buckfest 2022

Buckfest is a music festival held in Buckden, United Kingdom. The festival is renowned for its commitment to supporting diverse charities that play a vital role in bringing the event to life. For 2023 the Buckfest Charity partnership is with a group of mental health initiatives based in Huntingdon and St Neots. Their charity project aims to make a substantial impact on the Man Cave by enhancing its storage facilities and improving accessibility. The Man Cave is no ordinary community space; it serves as a gathering point for men to connect, engage in meaningful conversations, and foster creativity. Picture it as a haven where men come together, reminiscent of garden sheds, but with a unique twist – it's all about building connections and shared experiences. Beyond combating loneliness and isolation, it's a place where individuals can be themselves, engage in conversations, and, most importantly, have a great time.

Another supporting charity is The 3 Pillars Feeding the Homeless, originally set up by Mick Pescod and Ged Dempsey to provide food, clothing, and bedding for homeless people in Peterborough. In the early days, local volunteers prepared both hot and cold meals, and clothing items were collected at their temporary base in St Neots. Today, the charity boasts a permanent facility where clothing and bedding donations can be safely stored, complete with refrigeration for food donations. In addition to volunteer-prepared meals, many businesses in St Neots now generously contribute food and beverages to support their cause. The 3 Pillars has extended its helping hand throughout Huntingdonshire and Peterborough, successfully securing accommodation for numerous individuals in need.
