Soprano Biography

Soprano, born Saïd M'Roumbaba in 1979, is a French rapper from Marseille who started with the group Psy 4 de la Rime before launching a successful solo career. Soprano became such a French cultural icon that he's got his own wax figure standing alongside the greats at the Musée Grévin. And get this - his statue's rocking the exact same Karl Lagerfeld jacket and De Bornarel hat he wore to the NRJ Music Awards, right down to the Aaron Jah Stone bling.

His journey started with Psy 4 de la Rime, but Soprano wasn't content just being part of a group. When he dropped his first solo album "Puisqu'il Faut Vivre," it wasn't successful only in France, but it crashed onto Billboard's European Top 100. He followed up with "La Colombe," bringing in heavy hitters like Indila and Amadou & Mariam for some killer collaborations.

In 2018, Soprano was honored with a wax statue at the Musée Grévin, France's famous wax museum. His statue wears the same outfit he wore to the NRJ Music Awards that year, including a De Bornarel hat, Karl Lagerfeld jacket, and Aaron Jah Stone jewelry, which he felt represented both his career and his role on "The Voice."
