Keyshia Cole, born Keyshia Myeshia Cole on October 15, 1981, is an American singer, songwriter, television personality, and actress from Oakland, California. Cole has made a significant impact in the music industry with her compelling R&B style. She started her career as a backup singer for MC Hammer and later signed with A&M Records to put out her first studio album, The Way It Is.

Among Keyshia Cole's most famous songs are "Love," "Heaven Sent," "Let It Go," and "I Remember." These tracks featured on albums such as "The Way It Is" and "Just Like You." Cole's distinct vocal delivery and relatable lyricism have earned her a dedicated fan base and enduring popularity in the alternative R&B genre.

Another successful album by Cole is"A Different Me", which came out on December 16, 2008. The singles from the album, "Playa Cardz Right," featuring Tupac Shakur, "You Complete Me," and "Trust," made it to the lower half of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. To promote the album, she joined Lil Wayne's "I Am Music Tour" as a supporting act, which ran from December 14, 2008, to April 10, 2009.

In 2019, Cole collaborated with Kehlani on the track "All Me." Around the same time, she launched her own talk show called One on One with Keyshia Cole, which aired on Fox Soul. Then, in June 2020, it was announced that Cole had signed a management deal with talent management company Primary Wave. Shortly after, it was revealed that she had reunited with her longtime friend and record producer, Ron Fair.

In 2023, Cole released her first single since "I Don't Wanna Be in Love," titled "Forever is a Thing." This release was in support of her biographical television film, Keyshia Cole: This Is My Story, which premiered on Lifetime.
