Fabrizio Tarducci, better known by his stage name Fabri Fibra, is an Italian rapper and songwriter. He was born on October 17, 1976 in Senigallia,Italy. Fibra had a very troubled childhood. As a teen, he struggled with obesity and cocaine abuse. His brother, Nesli, is a successful music producer. However, while they have collaborated on some projects, they had a falling out in 2007 and have never spoken since.
Fibra started writing raps in his teens, recording his first piece at age 17. He first produced a demo tape in 1995, then an independently made LP with his brother in 1999, called “Sindrome di fine millennio”. His success in the underground Italian hip hop scene gave him the opportunity to perform early versions of a Fabri Fibra concert across the country. In 2000, he established his own record company and hip hop collective “Teste Mobili Records”.
He released his debut solo album through his own label in February 2002, with the title “Turbe giovanili”. That title is a reference to his troublesome childhood, as it translates to “Juvenile trouble” in English. The record became a moderate success, selling 25,000 copies in Italy, which made it reach the #42 spot on the Italian FIMI chart.
Since then, the Italian hip hop star has released 9 more studio albums, thus he has 10 in total. The best selling one among them so far has been the record “Fenomeno” from April 2017, which sold over 100,000 copies. Meanwhile, the latest new Fabri Fabra album came out in March 2022, with the title “Caos”.
The biggest hits in the Fabri Fibra setlist to date are “In Italia” (2007) featuring Gianna Nannini, “Tranne Te” (2010), “Pamplona” (2017) featuring Thegiornalisti, and “Stavo Pensando A Te” (also 2017). He was also featured on the 2018 hit by Italian pop singer Carl Brave“Fotografia”, along with Francesca Michielin. Check when the next Fabri Fibra concert is playing near you on the page above.
