Monolink Biography
Monolink is the stage name of Steffen Linck, a German singer-songwriter and electronic music producer born in 1989, known for blending live vocals and acoustic instrumentation with ambient, techno, and house influences. A fixture of the Berlin electronic scene, he built a sound that broke away from the standard DJ format, drawing comparisons to Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan filtered through a club-ready production style.
Monolink's early work included collaborations with fellow electronic artist Acid Pauli, and his 2018 debut album, Amniotic, marked his breakthrough, a record that fused singer-songwriter tradition with dance music, spinning off two singles, "Sirens" and "Swallow," that both hit No. 1 on iTunes Electronic charts in Germany.
The album's atmospheric, emotionally driven sound earned him comparisons to fellow German producer Ben Böhmer, another Berlin-based artist known for melodic house.
He's continued building on that foundation with Atemlos (2021) and, most recently, The Beauty Of It All (2025), while steadily expanding his live show into a full audiovisual experience featuring elaborate stage builds and immersive lighting.
Monolink has played major festivals including Coachella in 2023, and his 2025 single "Mesmerized" picked up a Best Director nomination at the Berlin Music Video Awards.
