His first album, "Yellow Tape," reached number 14 on the Billboard 200 chart and got certified gold. His second album, "Yellow Tape 2," reached number 7 on the chart. One of its songs, "Ambition for Cash," went platinum. Another song, "Proud," came out after Young Dolph's passing and became his first entry on the Billboard Hot 100.
Key Glock had a very difficult childhood, when he was just under 2 years old, his mom went to prison for 15 years. His dad wasn't around much, so he grew up with his grandma and aunt. Sometimes, he and his grandma would visit his mom in prison when he was young.
The rapper mentioned that he listened to Gucci Mane, Lil Wayne, and considers Three 6 Mafia as his biggest influence. He was also a huge fan of Project Pat, whom he calls the "Drake of Memphis."
After dropping his collaborative album "Dum and Dummer" with Young Dolph, he toured Europe, hitting cities like Manchester and London. They even had UK rapper Blade Brown join them as a supporting act.
In January 2022, Key Glock put out the track "Proud," dedicated to Young Dolph. This song is featured on the tribute compilation album, "Long Live Young Dolph."
After Dolph passed away, Key Glock posted on Instagram, referring to him as "my lefthand man, my brother, my cousin, and my mentor," although the post has since been deleted. Additionally, in the same month as Dolph's passing, Key Glock got a tattoo of him.
