Fernando Daniel Rodrigues Almeida, better known by his stage name Fernando Daniel, is a Portuguese singer and songwriter. He was born on May 11, 1996 in Estarreja, Portugal. Daniel's earliest musical experiences were singing at school parties for his friends. He soon realized that he wanted to get on a bigger stage, so he formed a band with his friend Fernando Mendoza called "Saints of May". The earliest versions of a Fernando Daniel concert took place in small local bars in the early 2010's with his band.

In 2013, he entered the reality talent show X Factor Portugal in its first season. However, he didn't make it to the live show part with the last 12. He didn't give up, and applied for the Portuguese version of The Voice 3 years later. This time, he went much, much further, eventually winning the competition in 2016.

Evidently, with his victory, many opportunities came to him in the local music industry. His debut album came out in March 2018, with the title "Salto" and through the label Universal Music Portugal. The latest new Fernando Daniel album came out in July 2020, titled "Presente". Both of his records topped the charts in his home country of Portugal upon their release. That is despite the fact that the lavish Fernando Daniel concert tour planned to promote his second album was canceled due to the dreaded Coronavirus pandemic.

On top of all that, it has been announced that he will appear as a mentor on the second season of the talent show The Voice Kids Portugal.
