Jack Harlow Biography

Jackman Thomas Harlow is an American rapper and songwriter. He was born on March 13, 1998 in Louisville, Kentucky. Harlow spent his earliest days at a horse ranch in rural Kentucky before moving back to Louisville with his family, where he was born. He started rapping at age 12, recording his rhymes with a low quality microphone that came with the video game Guitar Hero. In high school, he got a better mic and produced mixtapes that he sold to his schoolmates. He also formed the hip hop group “Moose Gang”.

At age 17, he got to release his first professionally produced EP (Extended Play), “The Handsome Harlow”, which was published by the label sonaBLAST!. He also started to do soldout Jack Harlow concert shows in his hometown of Louisville while still in high school. Still only 18, he founded his own label and music collective “Private Garden”.

Harlow’s debut album came out in December 2020, with the title “Thats What They All Say”. It became a hit, peaking at the #2 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip Hop albums chart and on the #5 spot on the overall Billboard 200 chart. The standout track on the record was “WHATS POPPIN” which went viral on the social media site TikTok. It later got remixed, and the new version featured such world famous hip hop artists as DaBaby, Tory Lanez, and Lil Wayne. He since put out one new Jack Harlow album, “Come Home the Kids Miss You”, in May 2022. It outperformed his debut record on Billboard 200, reaching the #3 spot this time.

The biggest hits in the Jack Harlow setlist to date are the aforementioned “WHATS POPPIN” (2020), "Tyler Hero" (2020), “Way Out” (also 2020) featuring Big Sean, “First Class” (2022), and “Nail Tech” (also 2022). He was also featured on the 2021 hit single by Lil Nas X “Industry Baby”. On top of all that, it was announced that he soon will be making his acting debut, in the upcoming remake of the 1992 sports comedy film “White Men Can’t Jump”.
