Billie Eilish Makes Acting Debut

Billie Eilish broke into the forefront of the music industry when she was just a teenager. Her 2019 hit “bad guy” propelled her to international mega-stardom at age 17. While she hasn’t put out a hit of that magnitude since, she is still one of the biggest celebrities and hottest pop singers in the world.

Now, she has a chance to showcase her talents in another arena. She is playing a role in the Amazon Prime thriller “Swarm”. Seven episodes are set to be released as of now of the series created by fellow musician Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino.

Evidently, Eilish is not the first singer to get into acting. There have been quite a few success stories of such - just think of the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Will Smith, or Jennifer Hudson. Mark Wahlberg also started out as a rapper, but was so effective in his transition into acting that people tend to forget about that these days.

Drake Announces “It’s All a Blur” Tour Dates

Major Canadian hip-hop/R&B artist Drake is hitting the road again. "Champagne Papi" is kicking off his "It's All a Blur" tour in Toronto, Canada at a yet-to-be-determined date. However, we do know that he'll be performing in New Orleans, Louisiana in the US on June 16th. He's then off to a number of other major American cities for the next three months, such as Nashville, TN, Dallas, TX, Miami, FL, Atlanta, GA, Boston, MA, Washington DC, and many others. He'll also be returning to Canada, doing a show in Montreal in mid-July.

Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro to Release Joint EP “RR”

Rosalía, one of the biggest pop stars Spain has ever seen, just released a new colab EP with his boyfriend Rauw Alejandro. It’s titled “RR”, the initials of both of their first names. This is not the first time the couple has put out music together, in November 2020, they released the hit single “Dile a El”. You can take a listen below.

New Nitro Album “Outsider” Features Ernia

Italian rapper Nitro is about to drop a new album within a month. “Outsider”, the 5th in his discography, is widely anticipated among his fans. We already have the tracklist for it, which also tells us that fellow Italian rapper Ernia will be featured as a guest artist on the record.

Roger Waters German Shows May Be Canceled for Accusations of Antisemitism

Roger Waters is in a lot of hot water in Germany. The former Pink Floyd bassist and songwriter is currently scheduled to perform two concert dates in May in the country, one in Munich and another one in Frankfurt. However, the city councils in both places have made motions to cancel these events.

Their reason is Waters’ purported anti-semitism. The English musician is a big opponent of Israel’s actions against Palestine, and has even used the Star of David emblazoned on a prop pig at his shows. Waters is denying the accusations, and threatened legal action against the cities if they do go through with the cancellation of his concerts.
