The Backstreet Boys on What It’s Like to Perform Songs from the 1990s Again

The American celeb news site EntertainmentNOW has caught up with vocalist AJ McLean from the legendary pop boyband Backstreet Boys. While the band is still around, going on tours and even releasing a new album in 2022, there is no doubt their heyday was in the 1990s.

Even in their most recent tour, they are performing the catalog from their 1999 album "Millennium”. On this subject, the site quotes another member, Kevin Richardson who said this during an appearance on the Today Show

“When we did the ‘Millennium Tour’ way back in ’99, 2000, our concept for the artwork, the album artwork, and the tour was the future…But we’re 25 years into the future now and a lot has changed so we’re excited to take that album, that concept of the future to the next level in the most state of the art venue on the planet”.

Sabrina Carpenter's Album “Short n’ Sweet” Repeats Taylor Swift Achievement

Former Disney-turned pop star Sabrina Carpenter's album “Short n’ Sweet,” released in August 2024, continues to be popular in the US. In fact, the fourth single off of that record, “Bed Chem,” has just hit #1 on Billboard’s Pop Airplay chart, which tracks how many times songs get played on the country’s Top 40 radio stations. The last album to give 4 Pop Airplay #1’s was none other than “1989,” an album by Taylor Swift released back in 2014. That record actually featured a total of 5 songs that topped the most played pop songs chart.

The other 3 tracks off of the latest new Sabrina Carpenter album that hit #1 on Billboard's Pop Airplay chart are “Taste,” “Please Please Please” and “Espresso”.

Alanis Morissette Is Coming to Las Vegas

Canadian alt rock and pop singer Alanis Morissette has announced that she will be doing a total of eight live shows in Las Vegas, Nevada this fall. The concerts will take place between October 15th and November 2nd, and the venue will be the Colosseum at Caesars Palace. Tickets go for sale on March 7th.
