Fyre Fest 2 Books First Act Antonio Brown

After serving his prison sentence for defrauding people with Fyre Fest in 2017, Billy McFarland is at it again with Fyre Fest 2. Despite it being a supposed music festival, the only act booked so far is retired NFL player Antonio Brown.

What most people thought to be just an internet joke is coming to be a reality - or, at least Billy McFarland is really trying to make it a reality. We’re talking about Fyre Fest 2.

McFarland served about three and a half years in federal prison, then another six months in a halfway house, in the United States for the disaster that was Fyre Fest. Back in 2017, he sold tickets for what was advertised as a high-end music festival and tropical island retreat in the Bahamas

The guests thought they were booking their tickets to an event that featured artists like Pusha T, Major Lazer, Blink-182, Lil Yachty, and Tyga; while enjoying luxury condos and suiting catering. They had some reasons to believe the hype, as the festival was promoted by Kendall Jenner and Emily Ratajkowski on social media, although the lowest ticket price of $500 for such an event could have sounded some alarms for too good to be true.

Once the date came for Fyre Fest, the attendees found out on the spot that none of the announced artists were actually there. As for their luxury condos, they would have had to be contented with FEMA camps - with some bare cheese sandwiches for lunch.

The ensuing civil and criminal litigation landed head organizer Billy McFarland in jail, as we wrote above. However, as a free man, he already has another "million-dollar" idea: Fyre Fest 2

He intends to hold it just a few months from now, from May 30th to June 2nd this year, in Mexico this time. He already has his first act booked for the event: Antonio Brown. For a music festival, the first (presumably) confirmed act is not a musician at all, but a retired NFL player. Just like McFarland, Brown also has a criminal record, having pleaded no contest to a felony case of burglary and battery in June 2020.

So, if you feel adventurous - stupidly adventurous, in fact - you might as well give Billy McFarland a second chance. The cheapest ticket now is $1,400, so it’s a little more reasonably priced. However, as reasonable human beings, we would still advise you against it.
