Futurama Festival 2022

Futurama Festival is a post-punk music festival originating in the late 1970s and early 1980s. It was founded by John Keenan, a music promoter from Leeds, UK, and it was one of the first major platforms for bands of the post-punk genre. The original Futurama Festivals were held in Leeds and featured iconic bands like Joy Division, Public Image Ltd, and The Teardrop Explodes. The festival was known for its eclectic lineups and an atmosphere that reflected the raw and experimental spirit of the post-punk era. After a long hiatus, the festival was revived in 2019 and has continued to showcase a mix of established and emerging post-punk bands. It is now held in Liverpool.
