Melike Sahin Concerts Setlist

Melike Şahin is a Turkish singer and songwriter. She was born on April 18, 1989 in Istanbul, Turkey. Şahin got voice lessons from famous Turkish pianist, conductor, and composer Timur Selcuk while she was studying at Beşiktaş Atatürk Anatolian High School. She also sang in a classical vocal choir. She then went on to earn a degree in sociology from Bogazici University. After graduating from college, in 2012, she started working as a vocalist for the psychedelic rock and reggae band BaBa ZuLa. She was featured on three albums by the experimental band before leaving them behind in 2017.

Şahin then joined the musical project "Melikşah ve Saz Arkadaşları". In 2017, three of her songs were featured on the soundtrack of the 2017 film by French director Tony Gatlif, “Djam”. As a result, she got to perform at a Melike Şahin concert at The Cannes Film Festival before the premiere of the movie. Later that year, she released her first two singles as a solo artist, titled “Bi' fırlatsam” and “Deli Kan”.

The next two years brought a whole slew of live Melike Şahin concert shows, including a few on her very own "Diva Bebe Show". Her debut solo album came out in February 2021, with the title “Merhem” and through the record label Gülbaba Records. There is no word on when the new Melike Şahin album is coming out. In 2022, she also got to go on her first international Melike Şahin concert tour across Europe.

The biggest hits in the Melike Şahin setlist to date are “Deli Kan” (2017), “Nasır” (2018), “Tutuşmuş Beraber” (2018), and “Hayatım Kaymış” (2021). In 2018, she also performed a new rendition of the 1977 classic by Melike Demirağ, “Gurbet Türküsü”, as a duet with Turkish indie pop singer Ahmet Ali Arslan. Şahin’s commonly used nickname is “Diva Bebe”, meaning “Baby Diva” in English.
