Bullet for My Valentine, often abbreviated as BFMV, is a prominent Welsh heavy metal and alternative metal band from Bridgend, formed in 1998. The band has solidified their presence within the heavy metal genre, known for their intense guitar riffs, vocals, and stage performances. Comprising members Matthew Tuck, Michael "Padge" Paget, Jason "Jay" James, and Michael "Moose" Thomas. Bullet for My Valentine has also been characterized as metalcore, melodic metalcore, thrash metal, hard rock, emo, screamo, and post-hardcore.

Their early albums, including "The Poison," "Scream Aim Fire," and "Fever," propelled them into the mainstream, earning both praise and criticism within the metal community.

The band performed at the Download Festival and Kerrang! XXV, and they embarked on a U.S. tour with Rob Zombie. Bullet for My Valentine's second studio album, "Scream Aim Fire," was released on January 28, 2008, and made its debut at number four on the Billboard 200 chart.
