Born in 1994 in Philadelphia, USA, Symere Bysil Woods, also known by his stage name, Lil Uzi Vert is definitely not a generic rapper. Lil Uzi is known for shaping a new way of trap, rap, and hip-hop genres, and is part of the Soundcloud era that had a boom in 2016 and 2017, alongside Post Malone, 21 Savage, Lil Yachty, and others. Lil Uzi's debut single "Money Longer" made him famous across the internet and marked the beginning of his rise in the music industry.

Lil Uzi's influences are no other than artists that paved the way for him, like Wiz Khalifa, Gucci Mane, and others. Uzi also had influences coming from the emo, rock, and hardcore genres like Marilyn Manson, Paramore, and My Chemical Romance, which all started to influence him at the age of 13.

In 2016, Uzi was featured in the XXL magazine 2016 Freshman Class, and he performed in a 'freshman cipher', a group of underground rappers (at that time, now all mainstream), alongside Denzel Curry, Lil Yachty, 21 Savage, and Kodak Black.

In 2021, Uzi took to Instagram to reveal that he had a 10-carat pink diamond implanted in his forehead, which he had planned to do since 2017. Uzi said that the diamond's value was over $24 million. Before the end of the year, Uzi had it removed from his forehead but then implanted again for his Rolling Loud performance.

A proof that Uzi is still relevant today, was with the release of his single "Just Wanna Rock" which became a viral TikTok song and has over 145 million views on its music video on YouTube. Uzi paved his way to success not alone but with the help of rappers like Nicki Minaj, Playboi Carti, and others.
